The Venetians have always been great tradesmen and the shopping here is some of the best in Italy. The emphasis is on luxury goods and eccentricity with a mixture of the main fashion houses and small boutiques. The main shopping areas are the Mercerie and Frezzeria which is a group of streets between San Fantin and Piazza San
Marco. Most of the major fashion brands are located near Larga XXII Marzo where youll find Prada, Gucci, Fendi and others. For books, bits and bobs look for Calle della Mandola and for
Antiques, youll find some good bargains near Santo Stefano and Piazza San Marco. There some great craft shops in the Rialto and San Polo area but youll just have to start walking and through the small streets and youll discover some hidden gems.
