What a treat of a hotel! We made this our February 2005 Hot Hotel of the Month without a blink of the eye and it's still going strong in 2006. The Hotel Palazzo Abadessa is [ as the name suggests ] a most gorgeous 15th century Venetian palace. It was hard to leave our spacious hotel room with its painted ceiling of angels, but then the beautiful garden was calling...

The location is perfect and very near Venice's Ca d'Oro. If you get the chance ask to take look at the hotel's President Suite, the views of the canal from the terrace are exquisite.
