underground and even outlandish. Today, Berlin is still the offers fun

There's plenty of choices to suit all tatses. If it’s a cool and sleek
Euro-style club you want, then head to Mitte. The western downtown area
of Charlottenburg is the place to be if you're a jazz lover and the
southern districts of Schöneberg and Kreuzberg have reinforced Berlin’s
reputation as Europe’s gay and lesbian friendliest city by offering
everything from ultra-chic dance clubs like 90° and Havanna to more
adventurous salubrious dens.

Knaack Klub: [Greifswalder Strasse 224, Tel: 30-442-7060] This club in Mitte offers all night dancing and musical acts that range from hard and aggressive to pop- or jazz-oriented. There are four levels to choose from including chills out rooms, a swanky lounge and game area. S-BAHN: Alexanderplatz
Quasimodo: [Kantstrasse 12a, Tel: 30-312-80-86] On of Berlin's oldest jazz clubs and one of the most popular. LOcated beneath the Quasimodo Cafe and Delphi Cinema, this clubs offers jazz lovers fantastic music and now a more varied repertoire of blues, Latin, and funk. It's a very intimate and cosy place. Sage Club: Kopenicker Strasse 76, Heinrich Heine Strasse, Tel: 30-278-98-30] Probably Berlin's hottest dance club at the moment is is for those wanting to get blasted by some deafening techno and large break beats. Built into the side of Heinrich Heine Strasse Station, this futuristic club is a must for anyone who wants to be seen. Dress to impress. U-BAHN: Heinrich Heine Strasse
Tresor-Globus: [Leipziger Strasse 126a, Tel: 30-609-37-02] Tresor is located in the old Wertheim department store and is one of Berlin's old established clubs. Come here to listen to cutting edge techno and hard house and admire the futuristic come Eastern bloc decor. All contribute to one hell of a night. S-BAHN and U-BAHN: Potsdamer Platz
A-Trane: [Pestalozzistrasse 105, at Bleibtreustrasse 1, Tel: 30-313-25-50] Probably Berlin's most famus jazz club. It's dark, swanky and continuously jumping> you'll get to see world famous performers from Herbie Hancock to Alice Coltrane. A very cool and hip joint that pulls in a intelligent and relaxed crowd. Big Eden: Kurfürstendamm 202, Tel: 030-533-20-30] Big Eden offers a huge dance floor with international tunes. It pulls in a varied clientele from movie stars to punks. U-BAHN: Uhlandstrasse
Spindler & Klatt: [Köpenicker Strasse 16/17 Tel: 030 6956 6775] Located on Berlin’s up-and-coming waterfront, this is one of the coolest places in town and offers late night jazz performances with a mixture of a stylish, minimalist interior, long communal tables is a offbeat location. This is only for those in the know.
Schwuz: [Mehringdamm 61, Tel: 030 694 10 77] Berlin's oldest gay club features cheap drinks and a flirtatious groove of house, techno, oldies, Latin and hard-rock music. This is near to Bergmannstrasse, a popular shopping and bar strip. You'll find a varied fun seeking crowd here that jump till the early hours.
90°: [Dennewitzstrasse 37, Tel: 30-275-96-23-1] This is a very cool and hip joint and only for those who are chic and stylish. Dress up for a night out at 90°. Techno, hip-hop, and soul are on the menu here. U-BAHN: Bülowstrasse
Havanna: [Hauptstrasse 30, Tel: 30-784-85-65] A very colourful club full of Latin dance and heritage. Located near the post office on Hauptstrasse. Jive to salsa, amid the tropical decor and admire some of the best foot work in Berlin. U-BAHN: Rathaus Schöneberg or Eisenracher Strasse.
Kit Kat Klub: [Nollendorfplatz 5, Tel: 30-2173-6841] This is a club that plays progressive house with a dress code that is only outlandish. If you like it kinky then the Kit Kat Klub is for you. U-BAHN: Hermannplatz
