We had the one nights reservation at the Victoria Hotel in Amsterdam and were taken back by the service and general ambience of the place. Situated near the Centraal Station, the location couldn’t get much better - walking distance to pretty much anything and it’s where most of the trams and canal boats converge. Our room was very spacious, warm and quiet and outside in the hall they conveniently place ice machines, which are especially handy for an aperitif before dinner. The bathrooms are a fair size and were always kept clean and tidy by the hotels staff. Be careful with the hot water, as it’s hot enough to boil an egg in.

It’s a large hotel of 305 rooms all offering superb amenities and the best part is the health club with indoor pool, fitness, sauna, steam room and sunbeds. Great for recovering after a night out on the town.
