We had a nights reservation at the Hotel Plantage and weren't disappointed with our decision. There are many budget hotels in Amsterdam and not all are to the high standard of the Plantage. Located slightly west of Rembrandtsplein, it's situated in a leafy area of the city. As Amsterdam is so small, it's within easy walking distance to everything but if the sightseeing gets too much, the tram stops right outside the door. There are apartments and rooms to choose from and our twin room was clean, large enough for two and more than comfortable. A great 2* hotel.
