Amsterdam's Hotel Luxer found it’s way into one of our favourites because it’s located right in the centre of Amsterdam's old and historical heart. It is a newly built 3-star hotel and 47 very clean and bright rooms that all have colour television, bath/shower/toilet as well as a telephone. And unlike many of the 3* hotels in Amsterdam, the Hotel Luxer has a lift.

Our reservation at the Luxer was on our first night in Amsterdam. The staff were really friendly and gave us a good low-down of the area. After a long night checking out Amsterdam's night life, the breakfast in the morning was a sight to behold.

Amsterdam's central station, shopping area, restaurants, the Nieuwmarkt and Damsquare are just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Amsterdam's Leidseplein and museums area can be reached within 10 minutes.
