Hotel Grande Albergo Sole Review

This Palermo hotel dates back to the beginning of the last century and was our first port of call when we arrived from main land Italy. It’s just gone through a major refurbishment that enabled it to up grade to a 4* hotel.

This hotel is a splendid example of minimalist design and was created on the lines of a Philippe Starck hotel and combines a cool mixture of contemporary design with ongoing art exhibitions to entertain the guests. We stayed only the night in this hip hotel and paid 180 euros per room per night and considering the location which is right in the heart of the Palermo this isn’t a bad price.

The rooms are spacious and bright and you must check out the panoramic view from the terrace.
