How many hotels do you get lying two minutes from the Duomo and priced at 100 euros for a double room reservation for the night? The answer is "one" [ or "uno" ] and it's the Hotel Fenice.

We had a reservation at this fantastic hotel for two nights and what a time we had. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was the best we'd had in Italy so far (I realize that there’s not a lot of competition but you’ll have to take our word for it).

The hotel's rooms are quiet but fairly small, but in this beautiful city, all you need is a great location. All the hotel's 72 rooms come equipped with private bath, hairdryer, colour TV, satellite, minibar, direct-dial phone, air conditioning, soundproofing and safe.
