Florence Bars

Florence is also full of wine bars [enoteche], where you can sample by the glass, buy by the bottle and enjoy a snack or full meal. It’s not well known for being a party town which will suit some but below we’ve provided you with a quick list of some of our favourites bars in the city.

Universale: [Via Pisana 77 r r 055 22 11 22] This great bar is located in the shell of an old cinema just outside the city wall. The perfect place just to drink or listen to music, chill out, watch a show or have dinner. Very modern and cool for the small hip crowd of Florence.

Vestri: [Borgo Albizi 11 055 2340374] For those chocoholics amongst you, Vestri is Florence’s best chocolate and gelateria. They sell the most delicious hot and cold chocolate. Try the hot chocolate with red peppers, it’s a killer.

Fuoriporta: [via Monti alle Croci 10 055 234 2483] A wine list any Sommelier would die for

Art Bar: [via del Moro 4/r Santa Maria Novella 055 28 76 61] You can sample some of the best cocktails in this Bohemian haunt. French horns and other clutter dangle from the ceiling. Cool and hip, just like your mama.

Cabiria: [Piazza Santo Spirito 4] Cabiria is a locals bar by day and a cool hangout for the hip crowd of Florence by night. You can listen to music way past your bedtime.

Caffè La Torre: [Lungarno Benvenuto Cellini] This jazz/blues club is right on the Arno. You can listen to the coolest jazz tunes, eat and drink all you want without having to take a bank loan out to do it. Live music to the early hours mainly consisting of jazz, blues and latin rhythms.
