HOTEL DUQUESA DE CARDONA REVIEW

After moving about so much over the past two weeks we decided to use the Hotel Duquesa de Cardona as our base and scout each hotel within this area of Barcelona. After seeing all the rest of the hotels in Barcelona, this was an excellent decision, as always! Not because the rest of the hotels were bad but because is was such a pleasure to stay here. It’s superbly located with excellent views of Barcelona's port with the Gothic Quarter, and Plaįa Catalunya only five minutes away.

Our hotel reservation cost 180 euros for a double room each night which may seem to some a little pricey. But our hotel room was a good size with lots of light coming in. All the hotel rooms are sound proofed with air-conditioning, music, interactive TV and Canal +, Satellite channel, private video, internet connection, ironing service, safe, electronic minibar and 24 hour room service. There’s a an out-door swimming pool and terrace-solarium but don’t expect too much. The swimming pool is very small but the views of the sea are fantastic.
